Joanna Cazden
Joanna Cazden, MFA, MS-CCC is a licensed speech pathologist, singer-songwriter, and educator in Los Angeles, CA (USA), known as an advocate for preventive wellness and for improved understanding among the vocal arts and sciences. She authored one of the first websites to emphasize preventive vocal health information (2002), and her book Everyday Voice Care: The Lifestyle Guide for Singers and Talkers (2012) is widely used in university vocal performance and pedagogy programs. She has also written for the Journal of Voice, Voice and Speech Review, Onstage, FolkWorks, and Whole Life Times. A lifelong musician, Joanna earned an MFA in theatre and she holds certifications in Performing Arts Medicine, Fitzmaurice Voicework, and Advanced ThetaHealing. She recently retired from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center’s outpatient services after 18 years as senior voice clinician, but continues a private practice as well as ongoing music, writing, and consulting projects. Who can attend this course?
This class is appropriate for those working with the voice (dysfunctional as well as performance), swallowing, breathing, mouth, and tongue related disorders. Course content is suitable for those with no previous experience using manual therapy, as well as clinicians with previous manual therapy experience. Ideally the course participant will have completed Vocal Health First Aid.

Who delivers the course?
Walt Fritz
Walt Fritz is a physical therapist from the United States who has been using manual therapy as a primary intervention since 1992. He has been an educator since 1995, and his work has evolved from “myofascial release” into a more accurate term, “manual therapy.” He teaches health and vocal performance professionals across the globe. Stephen King
Voice users from all over the world trust Stephen with their vocal recovery and rehabilitation. He has personally worked with Hollywood A-listers right through to World Champion Beatboxers, and owns the multidisciplinary VOICE CARE CENTRE in London’s West End.
As a published researcher and passionate about professional development, Stephen has acquired a breadth of knowledge from his qualifications in Advanced Clinical Massage, Medical Acupuncture, Manual Maxillofacial Therapy, Spinal Manipulation, Anatomy (including human dissection) and Voice Pedagogy, and is now continuing his studies into Psychotherapy.
