Julie is a fully qualified Nutritional Therapist, professional Classical Singer, Vocal Coach and Mum to three children. She wasn’t always interested in nutrition and in fact spent much of her singing career travelling the world, jumping on and off planes, eating the wrong foods late at night and mainlining sugar to keep her energy levels going!
She was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in her thirties, which impacted her singing voice. Although she was greatly helped by medical professionals, many of her symptoms remained and she felt alone, helpless, and out of control.
Taking back control of her own nutrition and lifestyle empowered her to turn her health around and her desire to help others to do the same steered her towards studying for a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy at the Institute of Optimum Nutrition.
Julie now runs a busy nutritional clinic in Oxford and online. She regularly delivers talks to professional voice users, music students and women negotiating the menopause in the workplace.
Her arthritis is currently in remission and she regularly run marathons and fundraises for Versus Arthritis.
